Grazing for land management

Ruminants can have a profound impact on landscapes, both good and bad. Learn about how these animals can help with wildfire safety, increasing biodiversity and soil health, and invasive plant management.

Fiberworks: from sheep to spindle

Follow the process from hand shearing a sheep, washing and carding the wool, to spinning yarn. Multiple methods will be covered for each step of the journey.

Wildlife coexistence

We will discuss ancient and modern ways of shepherding alongside predators. Participants will learn about electric net fencing, night pens, and livestock guardian dogs. Longer classes include setting up a fence area, barnyard csi, and a wildlife tracking walk.

All workshops are available as 30 minute demonstrations, 90 minutes hands-on classes, or three day immersive intensives.

We periodically host field trips and workshops on our ranch that are open to the public. Interested in one of the following for your friend group, homeschool class, or work? Please get in touch to book your sheep experience!
